Namco Bandai claims that the Tekken franchise is currently "the top-selling fighting game franchise worldwide," with 40 million units sold through the franchise to date. Online functionality has been "completely reworked" for the PS3/Xbox 360 port. The console version will include extra features not found in the arcade release, although Namco Bandai is keeping mum on these additions for now. However, the game is set to arrive much later than originally anticipated, as TTT2 has a planned "holidays 2012" release. First announced for Japanese arcades at Tokyo Game Show 2010, Namco Bandai has revealed that the fighting game will arrive on both PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. As expected, Namco Bandai has finally officially announced a console version of Tekken Tag Tournament 2. ![]()
